Analysis:
This was a very misleading episode of lateness, preceding as it did a full week and a half of travel in Western China with zero outbreaks of tardiness. Considering the extremity of this case and comparing it to the observed ability of 米凯力 to wake early in the morning, catch buses, trains, and planes, and generally appear when expected, only one conclusion can be made. This is that before embarking on a journey with the author, 米凯力 wanted to demonstrate his power and willingness to 来晚 whenever the hell he wants to.
